In the second miniseries, Amy, has to overcome something called biotynes. These man-made insects do something horrid to a body and most die within days, but only after going totally insane.
Amy lost all her family to this attack. Then she lost all her closest freinds bar one. But she was on the planet alone. Now she had it too.
Amy, until then,just a young girl, decides to cut all these insect larvae from her body with a scalpel. There is no anesthetic. She is the last person alive on the planet. She survives, after enormous self inflicted agony. She mends. But the pain has left a scar on her psych so bad. She hates these pirates or whoever was behind them. She hates them to the core. She will live now, with a purpose that is a fire in her that will extinguished.
Tschix follows this story and he captures it here, totally. The tune starts out slow, like it would on also planet that believe in the temple, and do the right thing by living and life. But then something happens. The tune has a sadness, and a strength and an agony all in one. And Amy has time. She is young. She will take one day, then the next, and then the next. But she will find these people and who is behind them.
Tschix, you are good man.
And after this, she dedicates herself to the unknown forces that sent this plague to her planet. Until this time she was just young girl, of farming stick, of Earth heritage. Now she is becomes someone very different. There is a big enemy out there who now has a new enemy of theirs, and soon, they will wish they had never done this.
