Who are the Assyrians really
The Assyrian Kings reigned over what is present day northern Iraq. There were seven demigods (hybrid births of part god and part human) created by the god Enki. These demigods were rulers of Sumer before the flood. They were seen as fish-like beings giving mortal man his moral codes, arts and crafts. They were said to have emerged from the water Apsu. Their lower torso is often represented as a fish. They are often depicted as having wings and an eagle’s head, such as in the photo below.
The picture below is of Gilgamesh, of the same region. He is the fifth king of Uruk (Iraq), around 2500 BC. According to the Sumerian King List, a manuscript from southern ancient Iraq, King Gilgamesh reigned for 126 years.
Gilgamesh is depicted below with a grown lion in his arms. He is sculptured as giant in proportion to the animal. Again, he has a wrist device. Gilgamesh is also the central character in the Epic of Gilgamesh, an epic poem from Mesopotamia, which is considered the first true great work of literature in the world.
In the above epic, Gilgamesh is written as the son of a goddess named Ninsun. In Mesopotanian mythology, Gilgamesh is also explained as being superhuman in strength. He is credited as building his own city walls of Uruk himself. In the epic Gilgamesh is said to have oppressing his people, and a wild man was sent by the gods to stop him. The wild man’s name was Enkidu, and was created by the gods from clay and saliva.
Gilgamesh is then inspired to seek immortality from the gods. In this epic, Gilgamesh meets Utanapishtim who instructs him to build a ship, as there is a great flood coming, and all animals, grain, and humans will be destroyed. So the ship is built, and loaded with craftsmen, animals and seed. After twelve days of the flood Ultanapishtim opens a hatch and sees Mount Nisir and rests his ship for seven days. After that he releases a dove to see if the waters had receded. It returns. Then he sent out a swallow, and then a raven. The raven saw the waters receding, so never returned. Utnapishtim then let out the animals, and made a sacrifice to the gods. For trusting the gods and preserving the seed of man, he and his wife were rewarded with immortality, with a place amongst the gods.
The flood myth is also very similar to Noah’s Ark story in Genesis, and the great flood myth is found in other cultures and continents around the world.
It has been found in the past that the so called myths, do have bases of reality. It takes time to discover what they are. New archeology sites are discovered with regularity, and new things are learned about the sites. Man’s Earth history does not go back far beyond this Sumerian and Assyrian past.
Gilgamesh, is not the only king to have the devices on his arms. There are others, such as Assyrian King Shamshi Adad (815 BC), and others.
Note that Assyria is actually today what is northern Iraq. It is an area of turmoil, and today cannot be accessed due to war. That in itself is interesting. The pictures of these kings and demigods conjure up on the internet all kinds of cries such as Anunnaki, gods from other planets and so on. The internet abounds with this. Anunnaki means simply: Those from the heavens who have come to Earth.
Per the Babylon creation myth, Enuma Elish, the Anunnaki and Marduk (chief god of Babylon) created mankind to be in service for the gods.
Nishrail and Marduk are also carrying other objects on common. There is the strap-handled pouch, which maybe houses the other devise in his hand, which resembles a pine cone. This pine cone device is positioned the same way when seen being used by different demigods, and obviously means something of meaning to the artisan who created them.
Ziggurats are another part of the overall mystery of these people.
The ziggurats are a form of massive structures built from modern day Iraq to the western Iran plateau. They are a terraced stepped pyramid, built the same era, or before, many of the pyramids. It is possible that the Tower of Babel was one of these ziggurats.
Ziggurats are part of a temple complex, where the gods resided at the top. They were not a place for the public, or for ceremonies. The Ziggurats were a “House of the Platform between Heaven and Earth.” At the top of the ziggurats were supposed shrines where guards would prevent non priests from viewing the proceedings in the shrine. It was the responsibility of the priests to care for the gods.
Ziggurats were is various levels from two teers to seven.
It may be some time before we really know the truth about the past here. It is certainly intriguing.
